Hi! Thank you for your continued support. As you know, prices have gone up. So far the transition to the higher prices has been ok. Most customers have acknowledged the increase was acceptable due to the higher prices of our key ingredients. Guess most importantly is that the quality and taste of the cakes remained uncompromised. We'll of course keep on maintaining if not improving on the quality.
Anyway, this month of May brings us an important occassion for celebration - Mother's Day. We'd like to wish all you Mothers a grand and blessed time. God knows all the hard work and self sacrificial love you gave your children and family. Dear friends and customers,
Thank you for your continuing support. We’d like to announce that our cake prices will increase as of 31st March. This is perhaps our first major price revamp since the launch of our website in early 2008. A quick explanation is necessary as we’d like you to understand the rationale behind the increase. Certainly the key factor is the inflationary pressure driving up the prices of the major raw materials and ingredients. They have gradually increased since 2008 – some by as much as 30%. In fact a number of raw material prices had already shot up quite substantially last year in 2009. Yet we absorbed the increase in costs as we didn’t feel the time was right to burden our regular customers. Unsurprisingly prices of a few major components rose again early part of this year in 2010. After much contemplation and delaying the inevitable we finally decided on 31st March 2010 as the new price cut-in date.
Prices of all the chilled cheese cakes will increase by RM10 per cake to RM85 each (the 1.5kg size). In addition our baked cakes category will also be revamped with some changes in the size of the cakes as well as prices. Some 1.5kg sizes (baked cakes range) will be discontinued. We intend to make all these changes as painless and un-confusing as possible. Our commitment in delivering the best quality and continuing to add value to the cakes will unwaver. We stand by our promise that the taste and quality of our cakes will be maintained, if not bettered. Further, there will be some more revamps over the coming few weeks i.e. new cakes and sizes being introduced, more promotions to alleviate the burden of the price increase etc. We hope you will continue to lend us your support.
